Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.
Whether you are wanting change in your health, fitness routine, business, relationships or quality of life you need to start by looking at your current situation. Are you making the right choices? Are you taking the right steps in making the change you want? There are many factors to consider when wanting to change an aspect of your life and I have experienced them first hand. From my experiences, I have complied a few ways to get to your goals the easiest way!
How to start
I love lists. I write lists for everything - to do, groceries, budgeting, goals, affirmations and ideas all have their own section in my book of lists (and stored in my iPhone). I strongly encourage everyone to write a list of things they currently do, and then contrast them with what they would like to change.
For example:
What do I do? In the morning I stay in bed as long as possible before needing to get up.
What do I want to do? I wish I had time to finish my coffee at home rather than drink it on the way to the train station.
How to change? Wake up 15 minutes earlier to make time for your coffee.
Simple? Not really. This requires making a new habit and that's not easy to do. You might do this for 1 or 2 weeks before getting sick of it or making excuses. I suggest starting slow and setting your alarm just 5 minutes earlier to allow for an extra sip or two before leaving. By starting slow your mentality towards the change is more positive and it becomes easier to slowly increase the time you wake up in order to do the thing you love - drink coffee in peace!
What to take from this
Write down what you do, what you want, and how to change it. Slowly incorporate it into your routine as a habit.
Think big
So you want to enter a fun run but you haven't run since the beep test in year 10 PE. Do you think you will be able to achieve this if you continue to be a blob on the couch after work? No. Do you think you can achieve this by telling people you are going to do it one day? Also no. If you want to achieve something as big as a fun run, weight loss or any other sporting achievement, unfortunately the only thing that will get you there is work. You need to work hard for it and it will probably suck at the start. The key to getting over that 'I hate my life why am I running' hump is to have a good support system and to keep telling yourself your why. Why are you doing this? To be healthier? To feel better about yourself? Imagine how you will feel when you achieve what you wanted - there is no better feeling! Put in the hard work initially and the rest becomes easy. Trust me, just start and commit!
What to take from this
Know your goal, figure out how to get there (realistically) and begin. Strive for your results and manifest your achievements!

To have a goal is one thing, to make steps towards that goal is a whole other level. Never be hard on yourself if you aren't the person you would like to be just yet, aren't at that goal weight or not at the job you would like to be at. If you are taking steps to progress and work towards your goal that is all that matters. Put your blinkers on and get writing. Write your list and read it every single day until you achieve it.
If you need inspo, I would love to help you achieve your goals no matter how big. I have a passion for pushing people into the life they would love to live and to be HAPPY! I'm cheering you on!!
To do:
Be happy.
